Take a look at a five-bedroom Dallas house built in the 1940s with a soothing, minimalist design

This home in the Greenway Parks neighborhood was built in 1948 and updated in recent years to give it a soothing, contemporary feel. The home is full of natural light and has multiple living spaces and a backyard meant for entertaining.

Listing agent Becky Frey of Compass said she’s sold this home four times over the years, noting that each of the buyers and sellers she’s worked with have loved spending time outdoors.

“It’s meant for indoor-outdoor living,” Frey said.

On the market for $2,995,000, the home has five bedrooms, four bathrooms and one half-bathroom in its 5,085 square feet. It was remodeled and expanded over the years, most recently with a bedroom, bathroom and study area added off of the garage.

The primary suite sits on the first floor. It has a his-and-her style bathroom with walk-in closets, Frey said. The bedroom has high ceilings and plenty of natural light with a fireplace at the center. The four remaining bedrooms sit on the second floor.

Throughout the home, there are multiple sets of French doors that make indoor-outdoor living possible. The living room has a fireplace surrounded by bookshelves, and two sets of French doors on one wall let in natural light (and let people outdoors). The kitchen has stainless steel and granite countertops, plenty of cabinets for storage and access to a nearby breakfast room. There’s also a formal dining room on the first level, with another set of French doors that lead outside.

Also downstairs, there is a study that has wood-paneled walls and built in bookshelves along with large windows that let in natural light.

Outside, there’s a covered patio with a fireplace, and a pool surrounded by stone pavement.

The home is located at 5362 Wenonah Drive in Dallas.
