[ad_1]
Make your own “On Island Time” signal only with scrapbook paper and very easily transferred lettering with paint!
Hey mates!
I hope you are possessing a amazing week. We have been traveling and checking out family members (and buddies) in the great state of South Carolina. (some in the Charleston space and some in the upstate)
If you adhere to together around on Instagram, you may well have noticed a minimal of the journey. Entertaining, fun!
On Island Time Sign
Today I’m again sharing this sweet minor sign…
Due to the fact it is by now a sign and has a awesome hanging wire on the back again, I figured I’d retain it a indicator.
Perfectly, sort of.
You can hold it or sit it on a shelf, either way.
Right here is what it looks like now…
Just a small diverse, huh? lol
Well, guess what? Yep…I pulled out one more sheet of that lengthy-lost scrapbook paper I had stashed absent and employed it.
You can see above that I designed a crease by urgent alongside the edges of the board for slicing.
See under?
Then I used a thin layer of my Decoupage Gel …
…and connected the scrapbook paper.
As soon as it was dry, I took a piece of sandpaper and rubbed the edges to get a nice thoroughly clean line like you see below.
I love that very little trick! Performs so well. (on cloth decoupage too)
Then I printed (in reverse) out the terms “on island time…” and organized them on the indication where I wanted them.
I rubbed about them with the pencil to transfer the ink from the inkjet.
Want to see more about this transfer system and some others? Check out out this post right here >>> How To Transfer Graphics
You can see how properly this operates down below.
Then all you have to do is use a modest artist’s brush to paint over the lettering. (one thing like this brush will work quite effectively)
I utilised white paint for the letters.
I went again more than areas that were too thin and then resolved to insert shadowing.
I like to print out the phrases with a “shadow” and it displays you everywhere you go you need to include it.
Does not that just make the letters pop??
Last of all, I incredibly hot glued a toddler starfish to the entrance to end it up.
Best for that beach-themed home or cottage by the sea. 🙂
One more rather straightforward 1! Loving all the decoupage I’ve been executing lately.
It’s been so much fun to completely transform these outdated, drained pieces!
PIN it to save it!
I’ll be back future 7 days with this 1! (I Like how this 1 turned out and simply cannot wait to share it with you)
Have a wonderful weekend!!
xoxo
