Before and After: A Hallway Makeover with Society Social Peel and Stick Grasscloth Wallpaper

A person of the most transformative items I’ve accomplished in the new apartment is hang the new Society Social x Wallpops peel and stick fake grasscloth wallpaper in my hallway. I was definitely fired up when Modern society Social declared the new line and gifted me rolls for my area, but I certainly had NO plan how excellent it would wind up searching. Of course I have often thought grasscloth wallpaper was great – it provides superb texture and that pure element that every single place requires – but I enjoy it SO a great deal extra than I even considered I would! I’d utilised peel and stick wallpaper in my former apartment so I realized how great it was for renters, but I’d truly never ever heard of peel and adhere grasscloth ahead of. Normally grasscloth wallpaper is acknowledged for being really highly-priced – so this peel and stick fake option is just this sort of a excellent and finances-friendlier choice! And I severely can not convey to it’s faux – the texture is stunning. I didn’t even notice it was fake for a while, lol. This wallpaper absolutely transformed the house, in this article it is ahead of I moved in:

As far as placing the wallpaper up, I’m an adamant non-DIYer, so I had someone enable me, and he experienced a very easy time with it. I’d beforehand had the very same particular person truly cling real wallpaper in my toilet, and this peel and stick took a fraction of the time and brought about extremely tiny mess (when compared to the true wallpaper, which was a huge mess and took for good). So it was quite no muss no fuss and he even commented on how very well it labored and how nice the grasscloth was! You can see earlier mentioned that he also made use of it to include my gigantic fuse box, which seriously helped make the room search a large amount improved! Society Social has a calculator on their web site that will tell you how numerous rolls to get – this challenge required about 3.

On the appropriate you can see the texture and coloration up near. I definitely believe it’s excellent – just could not be extra pleased with it. I seemed at a handful of of their vibrant selections and definitely favored them all, but I had no hesitation when it arrived to deciding upon the wheat shade – I just appreciate that pure look and felt it would be best for the hallway. You can see that I also protected the gentle swap – that I basically did myself! It was tremendous easy – the wallpaper went on very easily and trapped with no challenge. The only challenge is I need to redo it mainly because I trapped the wallpaper on with the lines likely vertically instead of horizontally – whoops! The good news is it was so effortless it will not be a trouble to redo it.

To make this tiny, move-through house sense a lot more specific, I switched out the super hideous flush mount for a lovely and whimsical a single from Anthropologie. It has little leaves all more than and a very, organic shape to it, and I like that it adds an more pure factor to the house. I have a good deal of florals in the bedroom so I feel like this gentle fixture gives a tiny preview of that!

I also hung an unabashedly female Inslee botanical print that I experienced frame with a pink and white double mat – I just enjoy it! In between the grasscloth wallpaper, the light-weight fixture, and the framed print, I feel like I’ve been ready to choose a nothing type of space and develop this charming very little second. It is just a excellent instance I think of how any room in your dwelling, no make a difference how seemingly trivial and tiny or unimportant, can be an opportunity to create a little something special.

All round, my only regret with the Modern society Social grasscloth wallpaper is that I could not use a lot more of it in a even larger house in my home! I’m extremely joyful with the paint colours I selected but I enjoy this stuff so a lot I would have fortunately done a complete room with it. I can’t suggest it more than enough!
